Yoga Asanas: Sarvanga Asana

This is a very refreshing pose and it is great for beginners. Sarvanga asana works the lower body and the lower abdomen. To perform this exercise, you should begin with the corpse pose by lying down on your back and straightening your legs. Then, keep your arms beside you with your palms facing the floor. Breathe in for a while and slowly raise your legs up in a straight line while lifting your back off the floor and using both your hands to support your back. Hold this position and inhale and exhale. Then,  gently lower your legs down while contracting your abs. This yoga Asana is great for a flat stomach and works effectively.

Hala Asana

Hala asana is another powerful pose for beginners. It works the major muscles and stretches the body at once. It is great for people who suffer from backaches and joint pains. To perform this exercise you should begin in the savanna asana pose. However, instead of holding your legs and lower back up, you should extend your feet beyond your head totally curving your body. Then, stretch your hands and hold your hands behind your back. Hold this position for as long as you can. While breathing and slowly, return to the normal position after about 5 to 10 seconds.

Yoga Asanas: Paschimontanna Asana

This yoga is beginner-friendly yet very intense. This exercise stretches the entire back and the abdominal muscles. It is good for both male and females that want to work on their abdominal muscles. It is really really easy to perform and is also good for aging people because it works on the back too. To perform this exercise, you should sit on the floor with your legs stretched out in front of you and your back well aligned. Then, extend your hands above your head and clasp your fingers together. Then, slowly bring your hands forward until it can hold your feet and your face is in between your knees. Hold this position for as long as you can and then release your feet and sit back up slowly. This should be done between 10 to 20 seconds and repeated for as long as you can for maximum results.

The asanas discussed above are great for beginners because they usher you into the yoga world gently. They improve your flexibility and also prepare your body for more intense workouts. They are slow workouts requiring you to perform monotonous movements. Therefore,  you can concentrate better while performing this workout.
